The Rabkin Prize Celebrates Visual Arts Writers
Join us in congratulating ALMA | LEWIS alumna Jessica Lynne in being selected as a 2025 Rabkin Prize winner. The award for visual arts writers is intended to support their work and recognize their abundant contributions to creative conversations and spaces.
In an interview with The Rabkin Foundation’s Mary Louise Schumacher, Jessica reflects that “Being a Rabkin Prize winner is an affirmation of who I am and the work that I’ve done as an art critic… I feel a tremendous amount of pride in being recognized as part of a cohort of thinkers who help to make sense of the art and culture we consume on a regular basis.”
Jessica also shared reflections upon her experience as a Spring/Summer 2025 Artist-in-Residence at ALMA | LEWIS:
“My time as the 2025 Spring/Summer Artist-in-Residence was a time of great nourishment. Few residencies offer the kind of holistic support that ALMA | LEWIS does. By this I mean that ALMA | LEWIS takes into consideration who artists are as full people and not simply the volume of a person’s artistic output…It’s a special thing to have time like this and I returned to my home with a renewed commitment to and charge around my writing.”
