Pittsburgh Arts Leaders Gather to Ask the Question: What Does the Arts Sector of Pittsburgh Look Like in 2026?
Co-hosted by TABLE Magazine Editor-in-Chief Keith Recker and multidisciplinary artist and filmmaker Shikeith, a roundtable dinner recently brought together Pittsburgh cultural leaders, including ALMA | LEWIS Executive Director and Chief Curator Kilolo Luckett, to imagine the future of our region’s creative life.
During the discussion, Kilolo shared how ALMA | LEWIS builds support for artists through care-centered programs and community feedback, as well as her perspective on the civic function of artists. “Artists are always working in the future,” she states. “That’s what courage looks like, stepping into what hasn’t been built yet.”
The article will be published in print in TABLE’s February 2026 issue.
